Anavart Ho Sakungi (Will I
Come to Life ? )
Hidden in a stone, there lies my face
Will I ever come to life and unveiled?
Those life's songs and verse
I am longing to hum and sing
Will my voice ever be heard?
Buried deep, in the depths of my mind
are the dreams that are still alive
Will those ever, return once more to life ?
The silenced words and a soul,
Struggling, trapped and fraught
Will ever find their release ?
And flow out like tears in spree.
Stree ( A Women)
To stay happy, come what may
Is how a woman lives. Always!
She survives, even the scarcity
Growing like a weed even in adversity
She knows, how to compromise
And keep her afloat against the tide
A home cooked food, a nice dress
A favorites book or a glass bangle nevertheless
Are all that takes to make her happy and content!
Even if there is no love around, as she intents
Or beloved cheats on her with other women
Still she cares for home and all dear once
To keep the
roof over her head
She keeps alive the illusion home instead
Accepting everything as destined
She strives to keeps herself thrilled
Like a waterfall, her pain flows
In strangers comforting ears, find its cure
She thinks
about what all she has
not in what
all she lacks.
To stay
happy, come what may
Is how a woman lives. Always!
Barsaat Ki Raat (A Rainy Night)
The lashing rain outside,
soothes my mind
As it reads my thought.
Understands my silence after all.
The pain inside my heart
Oozes out as tears flow
And the thunder above
Becomes one with the inner row.
In the sky above, it slaps and smacks
Like the thoughts inside my mind clash
This rainy night forces me to write
And a new poem sees a light.
Nirmohi Wo Kaun? (A Ruthless Soul)
Why my mind suffers?
What's this pain
That forever remains.
What thrist is it?
That I fail to quench.
What nectar is that?
I long to taste.
What's that hope inside me?
That refuses to give in.
Who is that ruthless soul?
For whom I my heart wait and call.
How difficult these moments are to endure!
I fail to cross and go beyond.
Within those window-less walls?
A bird is caged and mauled.
Where is that sky?
I long to fly.
Gammon Ko Dafan Kar De (Let's Bury Our Pain)
Let's gather all pains and grief
And put them in a coffin to bury
Deeper inside the heart, let's bury it for sure
And something on it, let's pour
Say the sour memories of today
Where it melts and becomes
One with our soul someday.
And there slowly dissolves all our blues
And cleans away from the heart and mind too.
Because if it is allowed to stay
It is sure to erupt like lava one day,
Sometimes from eyes or voice there in
And maybe one day,
Shattering the body it resides in.
Bina Prem Ke ( Without Love)
Even during the heated passion
A man fails to surrender his obsession
The mania with his ego
That he refuses to let go
But something there he misses
When he refuses to give in
That without love...
Heat of the moment will be there for sure
And cool breezes of the monsoons to lure
But like a drugged man and his vice
Your soul will fail to find peace and life.
Yeh Tum Hi Ho (It's You)
It's You...
Who desires and demand
The two faces of hers
Of a slave and a lover
Both known and a stranger
Yet when it comes to commit
You choose your limits
Not disclosing your love
And telling her, you want to stay
In the depth of her love always
It's You...
Who drives her into the gloom?
Dumping her where only darkness creeps in
Making her, the sinner and a sin.
And the trembles ran all over.
I felt alive
Then, I realize
How beautiful is life!
Andhere Mein Kandeel (A
lighted lamp)
Holding
thousands of darkness within
Is blazing a lamp
Held between cold trembling hands,
Is blazing a lamp
Not even a ray on it falls
But whom to complaint as she recalls
That since the long back it had been the same
It's always been dark beneath the lamp.
