Poems Of Anupama Kadwad

joys of life

In our quest for wealth, power and happiness
We forget to enjoy the little joys of life
So caught up in the day to day routine
Don't realize how days are passing by.

When the mind is full of chaos and in a  turmoil
For a moment divert your attention and look around
Sometimes simple things also provide immense joy
Instead of waiting for the end result, enjoy the process of creating it.

Sometimes a little me time is essential to unwind myself
A walk in the park, relaxing on my favorite swing, eating yummy food cooked by my mother.
Are little joys of life which I often look forward to.
To find happiness is in my hands, so keep enjoying the little joys of life.

Questions

Questions in our life start right from birth
A child's innocent questions at every stage,
Curiosity to  know about new things
To fill blank spaces in mind's page.

The how, why, what, when, where queries
So many questions life often raises,
Initially we strive to find an answer,
But not everything has answer to what life poses.

Somethings are beyond our understanding
No point in wasting time over trivial things,
Mysteries, miracles are  a part of this universe
To know about everything is the basic nature of us human beings.

Wings

In this limited time
So many places to visit
Different things to see
Vast regions to explore

Sometimes I think if only I had wings
And could fly like a bird
Without  restrictions and inhibitions
Everyday a new place
Flying across a Scintillating horizon
Would be so much fun and exhilarating

But over the years have realized
Without wings too I can fly high
Through words my thoughts get wings
They help me unwind and take me to faraway land.

Flowers in my garden

Flowers of different shapes varied hues,
Enhance the beauty of my garden.
Like people I have met in the course of  my life,
Have left their significant imprint.
Like memories good and bad,
Few have influenced me, some have taught me a lesson
As fragrance of a flower which lingers for a long time.
There were some thorns on the way which have pricked and left a permanent scar.
The ones I want to cherish are
Like petals of a fragrant flower.
I have treasured among the pages of my favorite book,
Though withers with time, leaves a lasting impression.
