Since morning
Four times have I been to the terrace
Twice to the porch
About a hundred steps have I walked in the lobby
Once or twice, I have peeped
Out of the gate too
I am tired
A tub filled with lukewarm salt water
And I sit dipping my feet in it
Suddenly,
in the mind, grow
many feet
I watch closely:
They are swollen,
Heels cracked,
Blood oozes from the ankles,
The nails
As a result of stumbling,
Parvinder was born and brought up in Mombasa, Kenya, East Africa. Parvinder has dedicated her career shaping the minds of future generations as a Principal. Parvinder is a national award winner from NCERT, New Delhi.

Parvinder is a translator and has translated a historical chronological book, from Kosovo, written by Dibran Fylli “Prekazi Brezni Trimash-HE IS ALIVE“ And another poetry book of selected poems “ A caress in the soul “ of a renowned author, writer and editor Angela Kosta from Albania, into her mother language Punjabi.
She has also translated the book, THE GREAT WARRIOR ( Klisania and Trifilia )into Punjabi by the editor/poet Agron Shele from Belgium. Parvinder’s poems are music to the heart that express different aspects of life, using different styles and themes giving pleasure to the readers.

Jyotirmaya Thakur born in India, is a retired Principal of Cambridge affiliated school, bilingual author of around fifty books in five genres with many waiting to be published ,translated into over 43 languages and is a co-author in many International Anthologies. Her poems , stories , articles and research papers have been widely published and translated in many languages in highly acclaimed journals and reputed magazines. Jyotirmaya Thakur is an illustrious author and poet, Peace Ambassador and a veteran academic. A voice to adhere to in our tumultuous times. Jyotirmaya earned a Bachelor’s Degree and Masters Degree in English language and literature from Indian University and London University. She also has earned GrandMaster Degree in Reiki Healing and Karuna Reiki as well as HFDE Healing Degree. She is a Multi-Genre Award Winner, Academician, Columnist, Editor, Motivational Speaker , Philanthropist , Reviewer, Environmental, Social and Cultural activist. She is a Hindi translator for the Ithaca Magazine of Spain circulated globally. She serves on various prestigious Committees as Ambassador and Adviser for literary and humanitarian organisations. She is the first Indian origin woman to be Vice -President of the parliament of the World Union of Writers and Poets , Italy from January 2019 to 2022. President of the Indian National Group and Ambassador of SAP , Poland .She is the International Ambassador for Global Peace Lets Talk, UK.

She received the 'Super Granny Award' from the Indian Inspiring Women group in London in the Parliament House , Westminster.
After graduation, she took several writing and communication classes that inspired her to pursue creative writing opportunities. She enjoys spreading positivity through her work and hopes to encourage her readers to reach their highest potential. Since 2010, she’s written hundreds of articles about spirituality, mental health, and the power of positivity. Her Journal series explores and reinterpret the physical, mental,emotional,relational and spiritual benefits that mindfulness and meditation can bring. Her easy, understanding counsel takes us to a comfort level where we can relate to her guidance and adopt her invaluable guidelines in our efforts to excel. As a veteran Principal in a Cambridge-affiliated school , she was a mentor of young minds. Her extensive reading, her various qualifications, her simplicity and accessibility combine to make her a thinker and writer of influence. Her voice is stellar. Soothing and soft, like a sparkling spring emanating from glacial heights of the Himalayas. During her time in college, she went through a spiritual awakening that would change the trajectory of her life. She began practising meditation and adopted a vegan diet after learning about the health and environmental benefits. Almost immediately, she noticed the positive impacts of these lifestyle changes on her mental, physical, and spiritual wellbeing. This dramatic transformation gave her a renewed sense of purpose, and she wanted to share her experience with as many people as possible.Her direct experience from nearly twenty years of meditation and following a spiritual lifestyle gives readers valuable insight on how to improve their life naturally.

She aims to harness the power of her pen championing to eradicate social issues of child abuse, mental health awareness and crimes against humanity . When she’s not writing, she enjoys the outdoors, cooking delicious food, meditating,yoga and taking Reiki classes. She loves travelling around the world and is in love with all cultures and portrays them in her work. She is an Indian living in the UK, with her two sons and grandchildren.
